UAE Regulatory Affairs
We take supplement, nutraceutical and functional food brands into the United Arab Emirates. We classify the product, check ingredients and claims against UAE rules, prepare the registration file and bilingual label, and brief the local partner the registration needs.

What this covers
Supplements sold in the UAE must be registered before they reach shelves. Registration runs through the federal health authority and, depending on where and how the product is sold, emirate-level authorities such as Dubai Municipality. Classification matters: the same capsule can be treated as a health supplement, a food or a medicine depending on its ingredients, doses and claims.
The registration file sets out the formula, specifications, manufacturing evidence, certificates and the label. Labels must carry Arabic, and certain ingredients, such as gelatine capsules, raise halal questions that are best answered before the first production run. A registration is normally held by a licensed local entity, so the choice of importer or distributor is a regulatory decision as much as a commercial one.
Because most of our UAE clients already sell in Australia or the US, we map the UAE file against the work you have already done. The result is a registration roadmap that shows what can be reused, what must change and the order in which it happens.

Yes. Supplements must be registered with the relevant UAE authority before they are sold. The route depends on how the product is classified and where it will be sold, which is why we start every UAE scope with a written classification note.
Yes. Product labels sold in the UAE must carry Arabic. Most brands use a bilingual Arabic and English label. We prepare the label copy and a layout specification so your designer can produce compliant artwork.
In most cases, yes. Registrations are normally held by a licensed local entity, such as your importer or distributor. We prepare a brief that sets out what your partner must hold and do, so you can choose a partner who can support the registration.
Not directly, but much of the work can be reused. Formulas, specifications, certificates and evidence prepared for the TGA or FDA often form the core of the UAE dossier. Our roadmap shows what carries over and what must change.
Some ingredients, such as gelatine, and some product types raise halal questions in the UAE. We flag them during the ingredient check and advise on certification or alternative ingredients before production.

A formula that suits young adults in Sydney may not suit older adults in Los Angeles or families in Dubai. Nutrient needs, diets, cultural requirements, climate and local rules all shift from one population to the next. Here is how we approach reformulating a supplement so it fits the people who will take it.

Expanding a supplement brand into a second or third country is rarely a copy and paste job. Each market brings its own rules for ingredients, claims, labels and post-market duties. Here is how we help brands sequence their markets, build once and scale without losing control of compliance.

A compliant label does not make a compliant listing. Product pages on Amazon and Shopify carry claims, images and keywords that regulators and marketplaces treat just as seriously as your pack. Here is why your listings deserve the same review as your label, and what to check before you hit publish.

Add collagen to coffee and you might think you have made a supplement. In most cases, regulators see a food. That changes the label, the ingredients you can use and the claims you can make. Here is how classification works for functional foods in Australia and the US, and why it matters early.
